Daniel Cormier wins Light Heavyweight Title in UFC187

Last night Daniel Cormier won the Light Heavyweight Title in the UFC 187 event. He beat Anthony Johnson. At press-conference after the fight, Ryan Bader has already challenged Daniel Cormier. The fight could have just happened right in the press room.

Ryan Bader continued his challenge to Cormier on Twitter. “You need to get your shit together, you have a #1 contender right here waiting for you,” Bader said in the direction of Cormier.

Daniel Cormier won against Johnson who has not lost a fight in his past nine. Cormier defeated Johnson in round three by submission as Cormier got Johnson from behind around his neck. 

Daniel Cormier has been a former Olympic wrestler. The 36 year old fighter is now on top of the MMA world. He jumped into MMA after the 2008 Olympics. Seven years later and he is the Light Heavywheight champion.Daniel Cormier got the chance to fight for title because Jon Johnson was stripped off his UFC title in April.

Reigning UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez looks to hold on to his crown as interim heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum aims to become the undispusted title holder when they face each other at UFC 188 in Mexico City, Mexico.

UFC 188 will take place on Saturday, June 13, live on pay-per-view.
