Aria
Aria lets you control your smart watch without even touching it
As the world of smartwatches gains its popularity, it was only a matter of time before its accessories took stage. Today we are presented with Aria, a small add-on clip that sits beneath your smartwatch band and gives you the freedom to control your smartwatch using only your finger gestures. Aria can lets you single-handedly access all those features that you would normally have to access through using your other hand. This allows you to conveniently use your smartphone even while you are having lunch, writing or even talking on your phone.
The gestures range from tapping, flicking your finger, and opening and closing your hands. All this can be configured through the Aria Companion app. Aria does not feature a battery of its own, instead it connects to your smartwatch via Bluetooth Low Energy. There are two versions of Aria, one for Pebble Time and one for Android Wear watches. The Android Wear version will set you back $169 whereas the Pebble Time version is less taxing and will be available for a mere $69.
The designers of Aria intend to put a campaign up on Kickstarter within the coming few weeks. One more interesting thing to point out here is that, Aria can even be used to control your iPhone or iPad apps. The Apple watch on the other hand will probably miss out on the action, as Aria seems not to work with any of the different version of the Apple watch, that is even including the pricy 18k gold one. Be sure to check back in, as we expect to see Aria in action more in the upcoming weeks.
