Bristol Palin Addresses Her Painful Wedding Cancellation

Bristol Palin finally breaks her silence on her blog about her cancelled wedding and moving on with her life

It was a painful thing to find out that Bristol Palin’s fiancé Dakota Meyers was already married a week prior to the wedding. Her mother Sarah Palin announced the cancellation of the wedding last week on her Facebook, explained the reasons and asked for everyone’s support and prayers on the matter. 

Bristol and Dakota still decided to celebrate their life together, as all their family and friends had already headed down to the wedding. All celebrated the Memorial Day with a family Bar-be-que. The sad thing was that neither Bristol nor Dakota addressed the issue. Bristol reportedly did not attend the bar-be-que and it could be understood that she was a disappointed bride.

She has posted a few pictures on her Instagram of her with her son Tripp. After a week gone, she finally broke her silence on the subject and wrote her side of the story on her prayer blog Patheos. Bristol Palin called the issue the ‘elephant in the room’ that she couldn’t avoid. She wrote that most people have already heard all about it on the social media and other sources. 

She said that it has indeed been a very hard time for family and friends and she would appreciate everyone’s prayers at this time. She said that she will be returning to Alaska from Kentucky with her son Tripp where both of them will be starting their lives in a way that they haven’t considered before but they will be starting their new lives and they will do with all their prayers.

Bristol Palin called the current circumstances different from what they had anticipated and sure she would have expected to settle down with Meyers in Kentucky. She appreciated all the love and prayers.

Bristol’s blog leaves a lot of questions. Would she and Dakota still be getting married? And if he is settling down in Alaska with Tripp, what does that mean about where Dakota would be? Would he be a part of their lives? Was the wedding cancelled or called off entirely?
