Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch on Sale for $100 Million

The late Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch is to be put on sale soon. The starting price is $100 million.

Michael Jackson’s posthumous property in California titled Neverland consists of an amusement park. And it is going to be auctioned off. MJ constructed Neverland in Santa Barbara on an area of 1100 hectares. Among the salient features of the amusement park were: a large zoo, rides on merry-go-rounds and trains and a very lush series of botanical gardens. 

Neverland has about two dozen buildings on its premises too. It seems most of the zoo animals have been transferred elsewhere except for a llama. And even the property has been in the hands of another person.

From now onwards it will be called the Sycamore Valley Ranch, according to WSJ. The whole surface structure of the property is being renewed and refurbished. And soon it will be sold off to the highest bidder.  

There is a home with half a dozen bedrooms in it, a film auditorium and a theatrical stage among the items of interest on the property. MJ penned some of his most memorable lyrics while residing at property.

He was of course a musical genius and the greatest pop stars ever to have lived. However, the ranch also bears the smudges of scandal. MJ was accused of abusing small children at Neverland. 

Although it was not conclusively proved in court that he had actually molested the young kids, the label stuck and ruined his repo and image throughought much of the Noughties. He died in 2009 and was about 40 years old when he breathed his last.

While very rich and famous, he suffered from having been physically abused by his father in his childhood. MJ remained dissatisfied and unhappy throughout his adulthood years and underwent several cosmetic surgeries to his face which literally reduced his nose to what looked like necrotic tissue.
