Great Escape, the second concert tour of 24-year old rapper was scheduled to start on September 18 in San Diego
It’s a bad news for all those fans of Iggy Azalea who had purchased tickets and were all set to attend her upcoming North American tour.
Iggy Azalea has cancelled the entire “The Great Escape Tour”, scheduled to start in September 18 in San Diego. An Email was sent to the ticketholders on Friday to let them know the news.
“The Iggy Azalea Great Escape tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at the point of purchase,” The email reads. “There will be a new tour planned Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
It means there will be no concert tour in the 2015 and fans have to wait for another year to listen and watch Azalea live.
Azalea also confirmed the news in a tweet later. “As you /4/know, the tour is cancelled. I am so sad and sorry to let my fans down…we will be back on the road when the next album is done.” Azalea said in the tweet.

The cancellation comes just months after the 24-year old rapper postponed the tour in March due to “production delays.” During an interview with AMP Radio, she explained it to the followers. “It is my first arena tour, so it’s a big undertaking and I’m doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything. So it’s tough when it’s your first time working on an arena situation.”
Azalea continued. “I don’t want to have average tour with a normal stage and this kind of thing. I want people to come and really feel they got their money’s worth and they want to come back and tell their friends about it.”
The rescheduled dates were also announced the same month. The tour was originally planned to kick off on April 14, 2015, which was delayed for five months and was supposed to make 21 stops across United States over the span of two months.
The Australian born rapper has announced to appear in annul festivals of Pittsburgh Pride, Ottawa Bluesfest, Quebec Summer Festival and Washington State Fair.
