  • Jim Parsons portrays the Divine in Broadway comedy!

The ‘Big Bang Theory’ actor Jim Parsons starred in a divine comedy on Broadway called ‘An Act of God’.

The actor Jim Parson who plays the role of our favourite character Sheldon Cooper on the show ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is about to step out of his comfort zone. Parsons appeared as the physical form of the Supreme divine being in a comedy who has come forward on earth to update the Ten Commandments.

The project entitled ‘An Act of God’ is being helmed by David Javerbaum and stars Jim Parson as the Creator in a white toga with gold accessories designed by David Zinn. The entire aim of the project is to keep the audience laughing and crossing all Holy lines is of no concern in this black comedy.

The first appearance made by Jim Parson in the Broadway comedy will feature him coming down a flight of stairs as though he is the lord of all there is… which he is probably trying to play.

While Parsons makes his descend all sort of celestial lights shine on him by the courtesy of Peter Nigrini projections, until Parsons finally reaches the last step and reclines on his long white sofa. What follow is a funny triad by parsons as he explains why he is dismissing the old ten commandments and installing new one all with his reasons.

Throughout the play a few jokes about Donald Trump and Femina gags were irresistible; otherwise the entire play was just good enough to smile. Although some of the people in the crowd were laughing insistently but they could have been loyal fans of Sheldon Cooper and the same could not be said about everyone.

Although Parson is supposed to be the mockery of God he appears like his character Sheldon Cooper most of the time indicating a lack of artistic expression in other characters or a 360 turnover.
