Focus was the best selling car in the world in 2013
Ford has officially unveiled the all-new 2015 Focus Sedan. The five-door version of the 2015 Focus was unveiled a while back. The sedan has the same features as the five door with LED for the headlights and taillights. The car also gets new safety systems.
The safety systems include a blind spot warning system and a lane departure system. The car also gets an all-new SE Sport Package for 2015. On Se sport package cars with the automatic transmission, the car includes paddle shifters.
“It is remarkable to see Focus again lead the industry as the No. 1-selling vehicle nameplate on the planet,” said Jim Farley, Ford executive vice president, Ford Motor Company Global Marketing, Sales and Service and Lincoln. “With the new car, we’ve raised the bar again, showcasing Ford’s commitment to continuous improvement – adding better technology for drivers and a sleeker, more modern exterior across the entire Focus family.”
2015 models also get a new heated steering wheel option and all trim levels include Ford MyKey.
Ford has also announced that the Focus was the bestselling car in the world for 2013. Ford sold 1,097,618 cars in 2013. That is a significantly increased number of units sold compared to 2012 when the Focus moved 1,014,065 units.
Ford says that the growth comes thanks to big gains in China. Chinese registrations grew from 268,354 in 2012 to 403,219 in 2013.
