Eddie Redmayne Joins J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts as Newt Scamander

With the original Harry Potter team in play, Eddie Redmayne has been confirmed to play Newt Scamander in the Warner Bros. Pictures’ much-anticipated wizarding world adventure movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.

After Harry Potter, the whole world was sad. There were tears, there were sad faces and it felt as though this would be goodbye. There is hope still for everyone who misses the Wizarding World in the book that was featured in the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and also written in comic aid of the series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The biting book is being turned into a movie with J.K. Rowling debuting her pen at screen writing. David Heyman, the producer of the Harry Potter series will be producing the movie with Warner Brothers and David Yates who directed the movies from Goblet of Fire to the 2nd part of the Deathly Hallows will be directing so the Potter posse is back.

What was required now was to cast an actor that would bring the entire thing together in the role of Newt Scamander. There is no other than the best of the best, the recent Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne who received critical acclaim and the golden man for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking.

Pictures, said, “Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today’s most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors. We are thrilled to welcome him into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.’”

An accomplished and experienced actor will be playing the preemptive wizoologist who explores the world for magical creatures along with his primer and pens a book. The movie will be all about the adventures of Newt.

David Yates, who directed the last four “Harry Potter” films and will direct “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” is happy about the casting choice saying, “Eddie is a fearless actor, brimming with invention, wit and humanity. I couldn’t be more excited about the prospect of working with him as we start this new adventure in J.K. Rowling’s wonderful world, and I know she feels the same way.”

Eddie has won a series of awards this year and has a great working experience in theatre, TV and movies alike. He likes playing different kind of roles that including his role as Balem Abrasax in this year’s early release, Jupiter Ascending. Eddie is a committed and excellent actor that the Potter world will definitely welcome.
