- Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in Talks to Appear in a New Version of 80s Cult Movie
Dwayne Johnson, the famous wrestler and actor known as The Rock is to appear in a new version of the 80s movie “Big Trouble in Little China”.
Dwayne Johnson is also known as The Rock and he is a first class wrestler who has appeared in highly acclaimed films including the latest mega-blockbuster titled Furious 7.
He was known for saying the famous words “Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?”…the man is a very fit and muscular dude who makes Hulk Hogan look like a cute kitten before his Big Cat skills.
He is currently in talks with 20th Century Fox for making a key appearance in Big Trouble in Little China, a reboot version of the 80s movie directed by John Carpenter, according to The Wrap. The scriptwriters who wrote the dialogues for X-Men will be typing out the textual background to this new version.
The studio representatives were not available to lend their take on the whole issue. A trucker gets stuck badly in a tenacious dispute in Chinatown. That is what the original premise is all about.
Besides, the film happens to be one of The Rock’s all-time favorite movies. The original showed Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall. And while it raked in only $11 million at the box office way back then, it was very popular among the teenage crowd.
The Rock is already a hit among audiences due to his role in the recent Californian earthquake story titled San Andreas. With the credits of this movie under his belt he will have cemented his fame even more so. Dwayne…you definitely rock!
