New voice assistant app Hound understands complicated questions fast and answers fast – faster than Siri and Cortana.
SoundHound announced Hound a digital voice assistant that lives up to its tag line “Say it. Get it.” Hound understands both context and details. Users can follow up to refine their results, or they can say precisely what they want all at once.
Hound gives fast and deep results to what users ask for, such as looking up the weather, placing a phone call, sending a text message, finding a hotel that matches your detailed criteria, navigating to an address, checking the stock market, searching and playing music, and even playing interactive games.
Hound takes speed and accuracy to a whole new level by combining Speech Recognition and Language Understanding. Something Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana apparently do not do. The Speech-to-Meaning capability makes Hound that fast.
“Hound will redefine the way we interact with devices, information, and services,” said Keyvan Mohajer, founder and CEO, SoundHound Inc. “We believe in a world where we speak to the things around us just as we speak to each other, and we have worked tirelessly for nearly a decade to create the technology that realizes this vision.”
Hound is currently in beta on Android. Hound Beta can be downloaded at the Google Play. The iPhone version of Hound is still in the works.
