Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood have been short listed to appear in their own Marvel spin-off series ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Lance and Bobbi definitely added excitement to the season 2 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. Palicki and Blood’s characters Lance Hunter and Barbara “Bobbi” Morse aka Mockingbird have quickly become fan favorites since joining Phil Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) team early this season. Bobbi is a double agent for S.H.I.E.L.D, the real one and Couslon’s S.H.I.E.L.D.

Lance and Bobbi started off exhibiting venomous feelings towards each other. The team found out that they were actually married. The feelings eventually turn into an on and off romance. It was ruined when Lance found out that Bobbi was keeping secrets from him, like take over S.H.I.E.L.D. kind of secrets.

While the end of this season remains to be seen, the creators of the show have already seen a great spin-off for the couple. The spin-off series would be based on the events led by the end of this season.

The offshoot was developed by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski. They are writing the script and would executive produce. ABC has not confirmed anything until they get a confirmed script. Zbyszewski is expected to serve as showrunner.

According to Deadline, the show is set to run in the same time slot as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It would be a risky business but they will initially launch a pilot that will test the waters for the shows popularity.

Given the popularity of the couple among fans, it is likely to be a Mr. and Mrs. Smith kind of an angle for the new show except a lot more action and promising on screen chemistry.
