- Amazon Have Updated Their Instant Video App For iOS
Amazon recently updated the instant video app for iOS users and now they have added some new features to the app.
There was a time when the world used standard definition. This was used in movies and TVs and it looked very boring. Until recently Amazon’s Instant Video app for iOS was stuck with standard definition time warp.
Amazon has now released a version for iOS users and now the users can use the high definition feature. Asides from the HD feature, there are some other important features that were also added to the app.
This app works for both iPhone and iPad. With this new update, the users can now watch their favorite shows from this app in HD. Now you can also use this app to work with Apple TV via AirPlay.
You can stream the TV shows on your television instead of watching the content on your smartphone. This new update also allows Amazon Prime customers to watch content over a cellular connection.
Previously you could only get the app to work if you were connected to a Wi-Fi network. Now you can watch content from the app on the go. But be careful because if you are watching HD content on your phone with a cellular connection, then you can lose all of your monthly data in the matter of hours.
People get monthly packages and streaming through HD content will burn the data plan more quickly. You can watch unlimited content if you have an unlimited data plan. Remember watching HD content for an hour will take up 6 GB of your data plan.
If you watch a whole movie it would consume nearly 12 GB of data. With this new update you can now customize the download quality. You can also change the mobile data usage settings.
So now you can make a good mix of speed, data consumption and the quality of the video. If you are an Amazon Prime member and an iOS device holder, then you should definitely check out the Amazon Instant Video app on App Store.
