A report out of Taiwan points to new models of the wearable device
The iWatch is set to be the most anxiously anticipated product in the history of Apple, but that doesn’t mean we know much about it for sure. After months of speculation about what it will look like and what it will feature, another report has come out detailing the sizing options that will be available.
Apple Balla reports that there are going to be three different options released in the fall. There will be a 1.6 inch and a 1.8 inch model, but there will also be a high end, luxury version of the 1.8 inch that features a sapphire glass screen.
This still leaves us without details about what it will look like, although we know that they have been hiring luxury watch designers from Swiss companies. Apple’s design aesthetics can be predicted to some extent, but a wearable device is unlike any other thing they have produced in the past.
Analysts are expecting the official announcement to be coming as soon as October, although there are still differing reports about the actual release date. With the continued hiring of engineers at the expected date of production, we could be further from seeing release than was originally thought.
