- Not as thick as iPad Air2
- Speakers and microphone on top and bottom
The device is Said to Feature 12.2-Inch Display, 7-mm Thickness, Stereo Speakers at Top and Bottom
It seems like ages since we heard of Apple’s iPad Pro and then the rumors just disappeared into thin air and we were all left wondering what happened to the tablet. Well, thanks to some reports from the Mac Otakara, we have come to know that Apple has decided to cut back a bit on the plans for the tablet and this decision was put to practice so that the manufacturing partners could get some spare time to handle the growing iPhone 6 Plus demand which wasn’t on the company’s agenda before.
But it appears that the developmental work on the iPad Pro didn’t completely stop and we have got some details on the device, which appear to be quite reliable. A new report from Mac Otakara has said that the iPad pro is going to sport a 12.2-inch display which is not exactly like what we heard from the rumors that claimed 12.9 inches. Some sources have revealed that the device is going to have speakers and microphones on both the top and bottom edges. This has been done so in order to improve the stereo audio experience.
“Product design concept seems to be based on iPad Air 2, pair of speakers and microphones will be added on top-side not only bottom’s pair. iPad Pro might be capable for supporting stereo audio.”
Though iPad Pro is going to be quite thin with the same 7 mm mark as the iPhone 6 (6.9 mm) and iPhone 6 Plus (7.1 mm), but it wont match the new iPad air 2 which has a thickness of merely 6.1 mm. a rough illustration, which comes as part of the report, shows a row of holes presumably representing a speaker along the top edge of the device next to the power button.
