The company is now reviving its presence in the country with some attractive price reductions for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
Apple might simply not be the king of all markets. The Cupertino giant has been having quite some trouble on the Russian soil lately and it isn’t something that the company has done but it’s predominantly because of the unstable economic conditions. In addition to this, the fluctuations in the currency and the political shift left Apple with no other option but to leave back in 2014.
With things settling down a bit, Apple has finally sought for some ground to build back on its images from the carcasses left behind. For starters, the Apple store is offering a significant price cut to the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus so they are at least leveled with the international price tags. Apple is still keeping enough room for a markup but the decline is also largely visible.
For the basic 16GB iPhone 6 you will need to spend RUB48,990 and RUB55,990 and RUB62,990 rubles for the 64GB and 128GB, respectively. The RUB5,000 decrease is surely a great joy for the locals but we must say that it doesn’t sound as great as RUB39,990 which the phone was originally going for.
As for the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus, you can have it for RUB55,990 which is a RUB8,000 price cut and the 64GB one goes for RUB62,990 and the 128GB model will set you back RUB69,999s. The strategy has been quite well for the fruit giant and the Apple fever has stirred up one more time and with the price reduction, the app store has also welcomed an extension. Now the basic $0.99 apps now go for RUB59, which is better that the previous RUB62.
