The new price of $299 includes a $100 premium for Bluetooth connectivity
Apple has a full plate right now with the Apple Watch coming along in a few more days and the pre orders for it already having been kicked off there seems to be so much going on for the Cupertino giant. Then there is the launch of the 12-inch Retina MacBook along with which Apple has decided that it’s time to touch upon its Beats division which had acquired since quite some time now.
The Beats Solo2 wireless headphone lineup is getting a refresh with three new color options of gold, silver, and space gray which you can get to match your iPhone, iPad, new MacBook and now even the Apple Watch. Solo2 versions were previously available in black, white, red and blue when they were launched under Apple’s hood last fall. These wireless versions marked the first major release of a new Beats product after being purchased by Apple.
Also, it comes as no surprise that the Beats Solo2 wireless headphones will be available for $299 – this price includes an additional $100 for the Bluetooth connectivity with which you can playback audio wirelessly over Bluetooth. This option is also going to give you the edge which you require for your headphones to work with your Apple Watch which gives you 2 GB worth of storage space only for your music in case your phone isn’t around for that.
Here we are talking of now ordinary Bluetooth connectivity; your headphones will be able to play music within 30 feet range of your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or any other Bluetooth-connected device. If you are convinced already, then the good news is that the refreshed headphones go on sale starting from today with a price tag of $299.
