Google is losing market share in the United States and this is the perfect timing for a rumor about Apple Search. If Apple wanted to keep Apple Search secret they would not have posted a job offer for the Apple Search project.

Apple says in the job post: Apple Search is revolutionizing how people use their computers and mobile devices. Apple Search is groundbreaking technology and the most scalable big-data systems in existence.

So will they go out and do a full on attack on Google? Maybe, but it also could just mean Search in other areas like Spotlight or in connection with Siri.

I would like to see an Apple Search. Apple could grab significant market share away from Google because of its install base of iPhones, iPads and Macs.
