These workers could be working on the iWatch
9to5Mac reports that Apple is seeking some new employees and it looks like those workers might be working on the long rumored iWatch. Smartwatches are very hot right now with many of them designed to offer fitness data to the wearer while they are on the run.
Apple recently published a job listing on its website looking for engineers and physiologists that can run tests related to health and fitness data. the job listing says that the workers will, “design and run user studies related to cardiovascular fitness & energy expenditure, including calories burned, metabolic rate, aerobic fitness level measurement/tracking and other key physiological measurements.”
That certainly doesn’t say the workers will be involved with the iWatch, but since most smartwatches have a lot of fitness tech inside, it would make sense. What the listing does confirm is that Apple is working on fitness and health products.
The job listing also states, “The candidate will be knowledgeable about the physiological effects being measured and how to avoid potential inaccuracy and experimental error due DOE flaws and/or reference monitor (i.e. metabolic cart, etc.) usage issues.”
