Update: BB King has died.

The news was confirmed on his official website on Friday along with a thank you note to all the well-wishers. This was the second time King had been hospitalized in the same month, but on Friday he was taken back home for hospice care.

TMZ report suggests there was a big dispute going on between King’s daughter Patty King and his manager Laverne Toney on whether or not King should be hospitalized on the night of his hospitalization.

According to Patty the King was not eating and his urine appeared to be orange, while Toney refused to hospitalize King. Therefore Patty called the police and the Las Vegas Police department confirmed they were called on premises of B.B. King to address a dispute over medical care.

Subsequently it was determined King needed to be hospitalized and an ambulance was called. At the hospital it was diagnosed King had suffered a minor heart attack and needed further observation.

Toney the long-time manager of King also has the power of attorney and Patty has subsequently filed an elder abuse report with the police. According to Patty the manager Toney and her assistant have been fleecing King with about $20 to $30 million already along with other valuables and even withholding King’s medication on tour.

Patty even shared a photo of the 89 years old blues legend to convince authorities about the elder abuse. Patty is currently in discussion on how to wrestle the power of attorney from Toney and the Police is also investigating the case although no charges have been filed as of yet.
