- BBM gets new version
- Privacy features
- Control your communication
The additional features on the new version allow users to gain more control over the medium of communication
A new version of the BBM has been released by BlackBerry to add more fun to your instant messaging hunger. This new version comes loaded with timed messages, message retraction, and HD picture transfer and tons of other stuff. There might be some users who wont see the update right away and for that the company has warned that “/4/take 24 hours or more” for the new version to appear on the app store “depending on your mobile platform and region.” What the new version aims to do is give you more control over your communication platform.
While you use BBM to send pictures and messages, you will be able to set a time and this will determine how long your contacts can have access to those messages/pictures in a chat. Now this is where the BBM version takes up inspiration from the popularity and usability of a popular messaging app known as Snapchat. And they are not just timed for your contacts, you can also ‘retract’ them from the chat that appears on your phone.
These new additions have come as the company’s privacy features which are going to let he users “take control over the messages and content that they share, so they can communicate with more discretion and freedom than ever before” as the company stated. A few days back there was a beta release of the new version of BBM which showed how these new additions will work and after being tested, it is receiving some incredible feedback.
