Blake Lively asked President Obama to do What?

Blake talked about her lack of mannerism which has gotten her into tricky situations one too many times but her list of misfortunes is topped by her meeting with President Obama with whom her conversation led to a very unusual and embarrassingly funny result.

Appearing on NBC’s Late Night Thursday with host Seth Myers, Blake Lively appeared on the show after the release of her brand new movie; Age of Adaline. 

The Gossip Girl star talked about her lack of manners when it comes to social situations. She highlighted how her eating style had caused her embarrassment over the years. She recounted a dinner she had at Ritz in France with Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld.

While the fashion world gurus are an epitome of style and grace, Lively admitted she was somewhat of a morbid mess at the table. The strawberry devouring, graceful Serena van der Woodsen is anything but in real life.

Blake said that while eating she had ordered all kinds of stuff and not the delicatessen du French but bread, butter, cheese and ham. Furthermore her eating manners weren’t better and she ended up making a horrid mess.

The good news is, hubby Ryan Reynolds is ok with her eating habits. He has learned to live with them. She told that Ryan is of the opinion that Blake’s weight keeps in check because only about 10% of what she’s eating actually makes it to her mouth.

It wasn’t her eating habits though tha got her in a cliché with the President of the United States. She was invited at a dinner party at the White House and while she failed to comprehend how, it might have been that she was invited to stand in for husband.

Blake said that the dinner was full of world leaders and dignitaries talking about changing the world. Meanwhile she rehearsed a speech that she will use when the President will introduce himself. When the moment came she actually froze and exclaimed ‘Uh hope’

The mistake might have been redeemed if Blake had kept her cool but she started talking about a voicemail Obama had left for her husband during his election campaign. She said that it got worse when she told him that Ryan hadn’t actually paid much attention to the voicemail and had deleted it. Her explanation for Ryan’s behavior was that Obama was just a Senator back then. 

She told Seth and the audience that the guests’ phones are kept at the reception for security. When she recounted the voicemail story to the President, he asked for her phone. Instead of refusing him politely, she just blurted out that he had taken it.

When he told her to ask for it back, she told him to ask for it back since he was the President. Obama hollered at someone to bring her phone and when it came, he left another voicemail for Ryan. This time it was an incredibly funny and ball-busting voicemail.

The people might have wondered why she was asking for her phone back and it was probably for selfies or tweets with the President. She was mega embarrassed when she got her phone back.

She was embarrassed that she hadn’t taken a picture with the President talking about changing the world. Instead her picture would have been, the President using her phone to leave her husband a voicemail and handing it back to her. She will definitely be telling her children that one.
