Blur Facebook
The band named Blur became a chart topper recently. And this is their very first attempt in more than ten years.
It’s been a long time since they showed their faces and hidden talents. But now the band Blur is back with a flurry and their album has skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Titled The Magic Whip, the album has been the product of their peregrinations through Asian territory.
Inspired by the new sights and sounds they saw and heard, they have released beautiful notes and melodies like the oyster covers a sand grain with mother of pearl and makes a lovely precious and round pearl that fits into a necklace.
Blur includes among its ranks: Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. Blur was a very famous boy band in the 90s. By the way, this is their sixth #1 album. That is quite a record. There are others on the top charts that are vying with them.
These include OMI, the Jamaican reggae singer who has pushed out Wiz Khalifa and taken his place. Carly Rae Jepsen’s I Really Like You is at #3. Jess Glynne with Hold My Hand is there beneath these few contenders for the top slots.
Blur is a band that started out as a couple of youth cult figures. But by now they are full-fledged men. They still have some of that “forever young” ability to let their creative juices remain intact though. And their music obviously has loads of originality and listening-for-pleasure value.
