Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer are Engaged

26-year-old former Marine Dakota Meyer proposed Bristol during a Rascal Flatts concert.

The former governor of Alaska and GOP vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin’s 24 year old daughter Bristol Palin has finally been engaged. According to Bristol’s blog Dakota proposed her and she said yes.

She explained that Dakota came to Alaska in order to film Amazing America with her mother last year and also met Tripp on that trip. Since then the two have met each other on different occasions and Bristol even went to meet Dakota’s family in Kentucky.

Bristol also wrote that Dakota is wonderful with Tripp and she is proud to be marrying such a man. Bristol then explained how Dakota proposed him at the Rascal Flatts concert where the lead singer Gary LeVox dedicated ‘Bless the Broken Road’ to them. The former then got down on one knee and proposed the Palin girl.

Bristol Palin seems to be very excited and happy about this new arrangement. Since the time Dakota has proposed her she has posted many pictures with Dakota on her Instagram account. One such picture shows both of them kissing and Bristol has captioned “Truly the luckiest girl in the world cannot wait to marry this man!!!!”

Dakota Meyer is a Kentucky native and has served in the Marines for four years. The former Marine also shared his excitement on social media and stated that he is one of the luckiest guys as he will be able to spend the rest of his life with Bristol.

We have also seen the couple posting pictures together on social media as just last week we saw Bristol upload an image of the couple playing in the snow with her six year old son Tripp. The six year old son of Bristol is with her former fiancé Levi Johnson when she was just 17.

She was also seen on Dancing with the Stars and in her own Lifetime show titled Bristol Palin; Life’s a Tripp after her mother failed to become vice president in 2008. Apart from this Bristol has also released a best-selling memoir in 2011 which was titled Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far. We also saw Sarah Plain congratulating the couple on her Facebook account as she posted a picture of them.

Dakota Meyer is famous as he was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2011 after repeatedly charging into a kill zone during a 2009 ambush in Kunar province of Afghanistan. He did this in search of his four missing Marines.

Moreover he was able to rescue 36 troops and kill eight Taliban attackers despite being shot in his arms. However he was unlucky in saving his four fellow Marines and friends who he went in search of but even then he went back and carried each of their bodies to safety. 

Finally this brave soldier has decided to settle done and we wish him all the very best in his future life.
