Clint Eastwood thinks it’s a good idea to kill Michael Moore!
While at CinemaCon on Wednesday night Clint Eastwood was honored at the ceremony he shared his thoughts on his most vocal critic Michael Moore. Eastwood joked he has been asked many times if he has threatened to kill Michael Moore, although it’s not true but it isn’t a bad idea, to which the crowd laughed uproariously.
“Everyone is saying I threatened to kill Michael Moore – that’s not true … but it isn’t a bad idea,” he said, according to THR.
Eastwood has never officially met Moore but he shared once a few years ago someone asked him if someone like Moore came at his house what would he do? To which Eastwood replied if Moore was on his property he could shoot Moore.
Eastwood then added Moore is entitled to his opinion because that is what’s great about America, because you can think about anything anyway you want here. Michael Moore recently heavily criticized Eastwood’s war drama film ‘American Sniper’.
Clint Eastwood also talked about his film ‘American Sniper’ and when he was asked why the film was such a success he replied because it was based on a topic people are currently discussing fervently. Everyone is talking on the war in Afghanistan and Iraq and different people have different views as some believe it to be great while others don’t.
Eastwood then went on to elaborate on his next project starring Jonah Hill as a security guard who helped in saving many lives during the 1996 Summer Olympics bombing in Atlanta. Eastwood kept on joking about his past and future on his career and also named the films that helped shape his career.
Eastwood also shared the movies he loved the most in his career are Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby and The Outlaw Josey Wales. When asked if he would ever revive any of his old characters Eastwood answered he would not as he would probably screw it up.
