Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid Officially Split up

The couple decided to part ways due to their busy schedules

One of the cutest Hollywood couples Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid officially announced to end their relationship after dating each other for two years. They have decided to split up to focus more on their respective careers.

“Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career,” Gigi Hadid’s rep told People. “They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future.”

The break up does not mean they have any bitterness towards each other. They will remain friends and continue to support each other whenever needed.

“They remain friends with no hard feelings and each other’s biggest supporters.” Representative added.

Insider sources tell that Cody and Gigi did not see each other too often as they are hardly in the same city at the same time anymore. Cody is almost entirely West Coast based and Gigi is everywhere. Their busy schedules never allow them any longer to spend some time with each other. The 18-year old singer will be again on a hectic touring schedule throughout this month as he will be traveling to Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal for his concerts, starting from /4/10. His first independent album “Free” is set to release next month. The 20-year old Gigi is also making some serious strides towards her career. She will appear in the upcoming Taylor Swift music video “Bad Blood” as Slay-Z. The video will premiere on /4/17 at Billboard Music Awards.

This is not the first time when the couple has broken up due to their busy schedules. The news of their first break up came back in /4/2014 after dating briefly for one year. They decided to reunite again but reportedly split on August 5. They got back together in November and ever since they have been seen out together on many occasions and also celebrated 2015 New Year together in Dubai. The couple last showed up publicly at Coachella Festival with friends Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner.
