D-Link Announces New Router Series for CES

They will have up to 5,300Mbps Download speed.

D-Link has announced three options for its new routers for the coming Computer Entertainment Show this upcoming week.  The Ultra Performance series as D-Link is calling is comes with three new routers: the AC5300 DIR-895L/R, the AC3200 DIR-890L/R, and the AC3100 DIR 885L/R.

The AC5300 DIR-895L/R is set to be the first router on the market can deliver the full Wi-Fi bandwidth of 5,300Mbps.  It has a tri-band router that consists of three separate Wi-Fi bands to give it the speed.  The 2.4GHz band can download up to 1,000Mbps and the two 5GHz bands can download 2,165Mbps each at the same time.

All three have six antennas for maximum Wi-Fi range to get the most distance possible out of any current router on the market.  The AC3200 has the latest 802.11 protocols with speeds up to 3,200Mbps.  The router becomes available on some computer purchase websites this Monday.

The AC3100 has the same Wi-Fi specs as the others listed above, and comes with a USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and has four antennas.

The most unique thing about the three new routers that D-Link is launching are the shape and color scheme for the devices.  Each is shaped like a UFO and comes in Red or Black colors.  They also have new additions to the interface that allows users to control their home network from a mobile device, along with parental controls, guess networks, and QoS.

The AC3200 is expected to roll out with a price tag of $310 dollars, or around 200 Euros.  The other two are expected to be released sometime in the second quarter of the year with prices and features to also be announced along with the devices.
