- Dish Network is reportedly entering into a merger with T-Mobile US!
The Network provider Dish Network and the US wireless provider T-Mobiles are in talks to merge their assets to make one entity.
On Wednesday it was reported by the Wall Street Journal that Dish network the satellite TV service and T-Mobile are in talks regarding a merger. The merger between the media and the communication industry is a latest development and both the sides are seemingly happy about the merger.
According to reports Dish Network and T-Mobiles have both agreed that the CEO of Dish Networks will be appointed as the chairman of the merged unit, while John Legere the current CEO of T-Mobile will preside over as the CEO of the merged companies.
While talks seem pretty serious and jobs and duties have already been assigned the whole project is in the formative stage and /4/not even come to fruition if the plan goes awry. There is no guarantee of a final deal because issues such as purchase prices, cumulative cash, stocks, mode of payment etc. are all still unresolved.
The merger comes at a time when all other companies are making such mergers to not be left behind in the race. The market is full of companies who offer multiple services such as TV, broadband and wireless. Dish Network and T-Mobile would have been left behind in the race as lone entities therefore the merger is beneficial to both the companies.
Both the companies have what the other one is lacking, as Dish Network has a wide spectrum but no network, while T-Mobile has a vast network but a relatively small spectrum, therefore the merger of both the company’s assets will be very compatible. The merger is also supposed to increase the sale of T-Mobiles against competitors such as AT&T and Verizon.
