Dixie Carter Telling People to Expect a “Major Announcement” Soon

Different possibilities pop up regarding what this major announcement could be about

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that TNA President Dixie Carter has given everyone an expectation of a major announcement which is likely to come soon. Now what this is going to be about hasn’t been revealed at all and we are left to speculate on our own.

There are some possible options which we can consider. Since the past few months we have been reporting about the TNA looking for a new television network to host Impact Wrestling on Wednesday nights. This is so because their current contract extension with Spike TV expires at the end of 2014. TNA has also been known to be in contact with five different networks and the big news could most likely be the announcement of a new television deal. This is obviously going to be a very significant news since company won’t be signing any new talent contracts for most of their wrestlers until their future is more concrete.

Some others are also of the view that they could possibly be signing a new talent as well and since this would shock the viewers, it pretty much falls under the category of a major announcement. A few days back we had heard about TNA approaching CM Punk and this announcement could also mean introducing the famous wrestler on the new platform.
