Eddie Redmayne was congratulated by Steven Hawking himself in a post on Facebook after Redmayne accepted his Oscar for Best Actor and dedicated it to the Hawking family!
In case you were living under a rock you will not be aware that Eddie Redmayne won an Oscar for the Best Actor in a Leading Role on Sunday night at the 87th Academy Awards for his role of Steven Hawking in the film ‘The Theory of Everything’. The British actor was extremely overwhelmed at winning his first ever Oscar and while accepting the award he seemed to have lost his ability to speak and remained in awe for several seconds.
Redmayne recovered soon and stated he could not possibly describe the feelings coursing through him right now, then went on to dedicate his Oscar to all those suffering from ALS around the world. Redmayne further elaborated his Oscar actually belongs to the brilliant Physicist Steven Hawking and the amazing Hawking family. Finally Redmayne thanked his wife Hannah and declare his love for her and stated another fella (the Oscar) will be sharing their apartment now.
A little after winning the award Redmayne was officially and graciously congratulated by Steven Hawking himself in a Facebook post on his official page. Hawking wrote a congratulatory message to Redmayne and praised him for playing Hawking’s role very well. Hawking further went on to announce he is very proud of Redmayne for the win in the same post.
Due to his Oscar and charming personality Redmayne will soon receive numerous offers for films with an increase in his earnings imminent and according to a source Redmayne wishes to star in a superhero blockbuster now. Redmayne wishes to portray a superhero role and it /4/be in his future as big studios love to tempt the audience with an Oscar winner in their cast.
On Monday after attending the Vanity Fair Oscars party the night before, Redmayne and his wife Hannah flew back to their hometown London, England. Redmayne held hands with his wife at the Los Angeles airport while dressed down in a simple black pea coat and chinos, while his wife Hannah wore skinny jeans and a leather jacket.
The married couple looked adorable while wearing matching dark glasses-probably to disguise their sleep deprived eyes and shield from the light and the press after celebrating Redmayne’s win for hours the night before.
