Eddie Redmayne to Play Lead Role in Harry Potter Spinoff Film

Eddie Redmayne, who played Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, is in talks to play the lead role in a Harry Potter spinoff film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” that is about to come on the scene.

Eddie Redmayne played the gangly super-genius Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. He grabbed an Oscar for his excellent acting in the movie. But it seems this lad or rather young adult has more reserves inside him and /4/land another role in a very different setting.

He might play Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter sister concern titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The original author is playing her part by writing the script at a furious pace. Redmayne, who just finished working in The Danish Girl is looking forward to his role in the Harry Potter spinoff.

The new movie based on J.K. Rowling’s trilogy is set way after Harry’s adventures in magic and features Hogwarts tome in it. As Newt Scamander, Eddie Redmayne will be a beast magician.

Mystical life forms will be the subject of the whole film, according to Variety. And there will be two Yankee lads and ladies besides Redmayne who will be showing off their acting chops besides him on the set. 

According to the author, Rowling, this is not really an ending or beginning to the Harry Potter series but rather an instrumentalist version of the wonderful world of witchcraft and wizardry. Nicholas Hoult has also been considered for the role. The movie will arrive in theaters some time next year.

The Harry Potter phenomenon lasted throughout the Noughties. With a fortune of $7 billion amassed in box office assets, it was the most lucrative film series ever to have been directed. Redmayne has already played a crucial role in Jupiter Ascending. Let’s see how he manages to handle Harry Potteresque fare,  that is if he gets selected in the end.
