Dong Nguyen revealed on Twitter that he will bring back Flappy Bird. But it will be different and better.
Two weeks after an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Flappy Bird game developer, Dong Nguyen, is officially confirming that his sleeper hit game Flappy Bird will return to Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Nguyen’s 170,000 followers on Twitter were eager to hear it from the 28-year old Vietnamese developer. One follower asked Nguyen is he is planning to put back Flappy Bird on the App Store. Nguyen responded with a yes, but added that it won’t be soon.

Another Flappy Bird fan asked Dong about the exact release date. “I don’t work by plan. I will release it when it is done,” Nguyen replied.

We previously reported that a new version of the game is coming. Rolling Stone was the first to report it. Nguyen’s tweets today are the first official confirmation that a new version of Flappy Bird is indeed coming.
In his response to another tweet, Dong said that the new Flappy Bird will be different from the original game. “It will not be the original game but a better one. I keep my word,” he tweeted.
