GFX Benchmark database shows SM-G9198 with Snapdragon 808 and 4.6″ HD display
Samsung is on fire these days with its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sales and a recent GFX Benchmark database shows that the Korean giant is gearing up for a Galaxy S6 Mini. The new unknown Galaxy phone goes with the model number SM-G9198 on GFX Benchmark and the specs are too good to be true for a Mini phone. This is not the first time that Samsung will be announcing a Mini version for its flagship phone. We saw Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy S5 Mini too but the specs were just not right.
According to the GFX Benchmark database, SM-G9198 will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chip packing a 4.6″ HD display with the resolution of 1280 x 768. Not to forget the latest flagship from LG the LG G4 also features the same chipset and why not? The Snapdragon 810 is too hot to handle! Interestingly the unknown device will have 6-core CPU (2x Cortex-A57 and 4x Cortex-A53) along with a powerful Adreno 418 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It will also feature a 16MP 16:9 rear camera capable of 1080p video recording and a 5MP selfie camera and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The 4.6 inches screen along with powerful specs is a dream come true for the folks looking for a compact phone without compromising on the specs. Sony introduced Mini phones dubbed as the Compact phones with the same internals as their flagship counterparts.
Today phones with bigger screens are a norm but there are still many people who prefer one hand use for the phone. Even Apple is forced to go with a bigger screen for their iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and the bigger is now better for them too. It is still unclear if SM-G9198 will turn out to be S6 Mini but if it does, it will sell like hot cakes.
