Google is stealing your time today with a fun Google Doodle Game. You must delivery 100 letters as a Pony Express rider.
William H.Russell, Alexander Majors & William B Waddell founded the Pony Express on April 3rd, 1860. This is the Wild West as we know it. Daring riders race from California to Missouri and vice versa to deliver mail and avoid getting stood up at gun point.
Today Google is celebrating the 155th Anniversary of the Pony Express. The service had a rather short life time, but it still became legendary. The Pony Express was only in service from April 3, 1860, to October 1861. It shortened the time of West to East–West communication to 10 days. It ended so quickly as the invention of the Telegraph took over the communication.
Google hired animator Nate Swinehart to tell the story of the Pony Express in a video. Watch below.
In the Pony Express Google Doodle you need to collect letters, avoid obstacles and aim for the ultimate 100 letter delivery. Good Luck.
Besides the Pony Express Doodle, Google has released today local Doodles to mark B.R. Ambedkar’s 124th birthday, the Bangladesh New Year 2015 and the Khmer New Year 2015.
