Rumor has it that Google is releasing two new Nexus phones this year. One, code-named Angler, is made by LG. Another Nexus phone, dubbed Bullhead, is manufactured by Huawei.
Google has yet to announce a flagship Nexus device this year. But if a new rumor is true, then we might have two Nexus phones this year. According to Android Police, Google is working separately with LG and Huawei to release two large-sized phones. If you’re expecting a Nexus tablet, then you’re out of luck as there won’t be one.
Android Police says that while these rumors are unofficial, their sources are said to be reliable. They were told that Google will launch two Nexus phones: one made by LG and another by Huawei. The two devices are code-named LG Angler and Huawei Bullhead, respectively.
The LG Angler will sport a 5.2-inch screen, a Snapdragon 808, and a 2,700mAh battery. The Angler, Android Police claims, will be like a 2015 Nexus 5. On the other hand, the Huawei Bullhead will be bigger, endowed with a 5.7-inch screen, a Snapdragon 810 processor, and a 3,500mAh battery. The Bullhead is like a 2015 Nexus 6, they said.
As for the availability of these devices, Google is reportedly planning to launch the LG Angler and Huawei Bullhead in October. Google will not release a new Nexus tablet this year, sources added. It’s worth noting that these are rumors, which means that it could be wrong or right. So, it’s best to take this report with a grain of salt.
