Google’s gift for Valentine’s Day: $6 credit for Chromecast users

Those of you sulking over the impending doom of the Valentine’s Day don’t need to brood over it anymore if they happen to own a Chromecast. Whether you will be spending the day alone or have decided to stick to a comfortable night on the couch with your significant other, here is a little for your day – Google is offering a little gift to its Chromecast owners in the form of $6 Google Play credit and we are not talking of any unhappy strings attached here.

In order to take advantage of this offer, you will first have to make sure that you are connected to the same network as your Chromecast. Once there, you will simply have to open the Chromecast app for Android or iOS and select the “Check for Offers” option which you will find in the three-dot menu at the top right of the screen.

You will be asked to verify your device and once you do that correctly, you will select “redeem” and bingo! You can use this credit for anything including games, apps, books, movies and music and there is your solution for a little fun on a special day without any spending.
