Gucci Mane had weapons in the form of guns with him due to which he was awarded a prison sentence. He is to serve a three year term for these misdemeanors. The fact that he copped a plea has saved him even more time as a jailbird. Gucci Mane’s real epithet is Radric Davis. 

Had his lawyers not acted wisely, he could have faced up to 20 years in the slammer and have had to cough up a fine amounting to half a million dollars. Mane had brandished a gun in the face of law enforcement authorities for which he was arrested. 

He made advances at the police when he was apprehended. A double tragedy occurred afterwards for Mane since Atlantic Records cancelled his music contract. Gucci Mane was found waving guns and weapons in rude gestures to individuals on two occasions. 

“On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm,” a federal prosecutor’s news release said. “Then, just two days later, on September 14th, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney.”

This man, who is a gangster rapper, has engaged in such anti-social acts of aggression and loudmouthed obnoxiousness before. Two years ago the rap artist whacked a man on his noggin with a champagne bottle. 

The man claimed that he had only tried to get friendly with the rapper with a loose temper. The result was an angry outburst that caused extensive damage to the unfortunate fellow. All this occurred at an Atlanta nightclub. 

“The criminal history of the defendant, Radric Davis shows a complete and utter disregard for the lives of others as well as for their personal pursuits,” Aladino Ortiz with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Tuesday.

Four years back, Gucci Mane was held on account of his bad driving. But the charges were dropped after a little dilly-dallying. Almost a decade ago, he almost got indicted on homicide charges. But the case was dropped due to lack of substantial evidence. 

The court that has currently sentenced him to 39 months in the cooler has laid out the verdict using some value judgments about his character and temperament. He has been called a threat to the general society and a public enemy #1.
