The new LG Watch Urbane is the slimmest, most luxurious LG watch running on the latest Android Wear
Amidst all the hype surrounding the Apple Watch, every soul is finding it hard to concentrate on any other thing. But the LG Watch Urbane is no ordinary deal. The smarwtatch is now ready for show time and will be launched this week in Korea. In the upcoming weeks, the watch will roll out in other markets in North America, Europe and Asia. The good news is that the watch is going to be up for purchase through Google Stores by the end of this week for customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
It seems like a watch has come which can at least manage to stand next to the Apple Watch and was quite a popular deal at this year’s MWC event and even landed with a few rewards.
Everything about the watch shouts luxury and this, we believe, has been the company’s right decision in the right direction. The full metal body of the watch comes with a stitched genuine leather strap. Thanks to the luxurious polished rose gold and silver options for the stainless steel body, the watch is an epitome of beauty. Furthermore, there is a narrow bezel that gives the device the sleek lines of a classic timepiece and even with this kind of luxury, LG allows the users more personalization; you can change this band for any 22mm leather, silicone or metal strap of your own choice.
The watch has the famous 1.3-inch P-OLED display which is taken from the LG G Watch R. This one, however, has a lesser prominent and lower profile bezel. The device has been made even more sleek and thinner as compared to LG’s previous attempts at smartwatches. LG has brilliantly done so without compromising on the size of the display or the battery.
Running on the latest version of Android Wear, the LG Watch Urbane is filled with exciting new features. Looks like the Apple Watch has lost its exclusivity because others are catching up already and trying to compete with the big Apple. Your LG Watch Urbane allows gives you numerous doodling options. Draw emojis yourselves or make funny pictures and send them to your friends. Apart from this, you can also have the liberty to change the font sizes as you wish.
The LG Call and LG Pulse are the two new features which have never been seen before on any of the Android Wear devices. Using LG Call you can directly make calls as it allows you to access your favorite contact list without a look at the smartphone. The LG Pulse on the other hand is the best take on smartwatch fitness. It can measure your heart rate every second during exercise with no maximum time limit and provides an average rate at the end of the activity.
“The LG Watch Urbane is the third Android Wear device introduced by LG in the past year which demonstrates our commitment to this platform,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “More importantly, LG Watch Urbane is a perfect example that Android Wear watches can be functional and beautiful and a useful accessory that complements any wardrobe. No one would mistake LG Watch Urbane for a computer on your wrist.”
