Want to own a smartphone which basically houses all your interests including gaming? If yes, then you might want to have a second glance at the iPhone 6 Plus if you hadn’t already. The gaming world has drastically evolved over the years and though we might admit that we do enjoy whatever has become of the gaming, there is still a part of us which misses the contemporary gaming style; say for instance the Nintendo Game Boy.

Well, you will no longer brood over those good old days of The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong and Metal Gear Solid if you happen to own an iPhone 6 Plus AND the Smart Boy from video game accessory maker Hyperkin.

The Smart Boy is more like a smartphone case as it covers a considerable section of the iPhone 6 Plus and connects with it to let you enjoy the Game Boy games. Along with the Smart Boy, you will also need your cartridges since you can only play if you either already own Game Boy games or buy them from thrift stores or eBay for more convenience.

The idea of the Smart Boy was initially posted by Hyperkin on its official Facebook Page as an April Fool’s day prank. The video game accessory maker says that the idea was to see what kind of reaction the Smart Boy is going to generate from the gaming fans and as it turned out, there was quite some interest in the product and now the company wants the idea to head over to the production stage.

Upon launch, the Smart Boy will only be meant for the iPhone 6 Plus but later on the company is expected to release variants for other smaller smartphones in the market.
