The Chinese company is starting to establish itself as a major competitor in the smartphone world and its 2015 MWC teaser points towards the release of a 4G LTE smartwatch.
LG is expected to unveil its Urbane Smartwatch at the MWC 2015 and now we are hearing news that Huawei will also be releasing its new smartwatch. The Chinese company has established itself as one of the major upcoming giants in the smartphone world. They have really outdone themselves by making phones like Honor 3X, Honor 6 Plus and Ascend Mate 7.
Now the company is expected to release its first smartwatch. Actually Huawei released two teaser images with the title Next Is Here on its Weibo account. Gizmochina first reported about these images. We can easily take the hint and conclude that they are about to release a smartwatch because they are already producing smartphones and tablets. So their smartwatch is expected to be released at this year’s MWC.
In the released images we can see a crescent shape which has a star at the end and no one could conclude anything from the image. The crescent shape might be saying that this could be a curved smartwatch. It could also have a curved screen but then again the reality is that we can conclude nothing from the teaser image.
We can conclude from the second image that Huawei might be ready to update its devices. Many of its users have been writing on Huawei’s forums that they need to update their smartphones. Or we could be getting a new Huawei Mediapad X2 which is a tablet. This device is rumored to have a 3GB of RAM, 7” display and a Full HD resolution. The new tablet will come with Huawei’s Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor. The tablet is rumored to cost around $320.
In the first image we see 4G LTE written at the corner which means that this new smartwatch will come equipped with LTE support. As LTE consumes a lot of battery so we are hoping that the smartwatch will come with a big battery.
The second image has 4G LTE written at its corner too which means the tablet will also have LTE support. People still haven’t found a smartwatch which has all of the features, affordability and design but with Huawei, we are bound to get a device which would attract many customers.
Every year at the MWC we see many breakthrough technologies and see devices that change the way we live. Lives are transformed because of these devices and this year we will such devices yet again at Barcelona. The MWC will last four days from 2nd-5th March 2015.
