Iggy Azalea Reveals Why She Cancelled Her Great Escape Tour

The newly engaged Iggy Azalea reveals the reasons why she cancelled her tour in an interview with Seventeen magazines.

Finally Iggy broke her silence on the issue of cancelling her tour in an interview with ‘Seventeen’ magazine. After the announcement of the tour cancellation on Friday the 29th of /4/fans were bewildered as no reason was cited for the cancellation.

According to Iggy, who was proposed by her boyfriend Nick Young the NBA player on her 30th birthday on the 1st of June, the cancellation occurred because she has had a change of heart. Iggy wants to start refresh and if she had continued with her tour she would have been unable to work at least after Christmas.

“I’ve had a different creative change of heart,” said Iggy. “I want to start totally anew, and if I stayed on my tour, that would mean I wouldn’t even be able to start working on that until after Christmas.”

Iggy then further revealed she simply wants a break as she has been working non-stop for the past two years and although she is not in a bad place, Iggy just wants to enjoy everything she worked for. Iggy also needs the break to figure out where her music and visuals are going to evolve.

Iggy also shed light on the fact whenever she tells everyone she needs a break they presume she is mentally broken. However that is not the case as taking a break for Iggy simply means getting away from the constant planning which is emotionally draining. 

Iggy described herself as a creative person who wants to find new stuff and feels like she is at the end of an era and going on tour would have stifled her. Moreover Iggy also revealed how she could not find two opening acts available on the dates she wanted and accumulation of all the things led to the cancellation of the tour. Although cancelling her tour was a tough decision for Iggy it was the best decision right now, especially considering her boyfriend proposed shortly.
