iOS 9 brings Side-by-side App Multi-Tasking to iPad

Microsoft is laughing about Apple’s inability to give users true multi-tasking on the iPad. That will change according to a new rumor in iOS 9.

iOS 9 is supposed to finally bring full multi-tasking to the iPad. 9to5Mac reports that their sources say the long delayed side-by-side App Multi-Tasking is finally coming with iOS 9 to iPads.

The significance of multi-tasking is for business use, while some prosumers will also adopt it. The feature is though most powerful on the rumored 12-inch iPad for codenamed “J98″ and “J99 aimed at the enterprise user.

iOS 9 is also rumored to support multiple users. It is not clear yet if this features makes the cut for the planned fall release of iOS 9. All of this is supposed to be officially revealed at the WWDC 2015 next month.

The tablet market is not growing. Apple’s foray into the enterprise is a dedicated version of the iPad could bring new growth for Apple. Microsoft is though looking to be in a strong position this year with the release of Windows 10. Their Surface tablets are mostly aimed at business use already. The battle will be on this fall.

The WWDC 2015 is also supposed to bring a new Apple TV and the launch of the Apple Music Streaming service. It might be getting a pretty packed WWDC keynote this year.

The 26th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place on June 8 through June 12 at San Francisco’s Moscone West, with more sessions than ever before streamed to developers.
