One of the primary actors hints that fans could return to the show.
Of all the shows that have been clamoring for a reunion episode, series, or movie, Gilmore Girls fans have been some of the loudest around – on social media, interviews, and all over blogs. Well Scott Patterson a.k.a. Luke Danes (who is Mr. Wrong or Mr. Right depending on what you ship for Lorelei) hinted on a recent podcast entitled Gilmore Guys that a reunion might happen!
Hallelujah!
While he was pretty mum on any actual details, he did reveal that they are talking about going back to Stars Hollow:
“I will say this, there are talks going on at the moment,” Patterson said, before clamming up and pretty much refusing to talk about it anymore. “I can’t really go into any details, but there is some activity. I’m hopeful, and I’m in. I think it would be a big event, and I think it would be a great fan celebration.”
There is some contention around what exactly Patterson meant. Did he actually mean that Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelei (Lauren Graham) would be heading back to Stars Hollow? Or was Patterson just reminding fans that the cast will be reuniting next month at the ATX Television Festival in Texas? That festival will bring together, for the first time publicly, Patterson, Graham, and Bledel who are also expected to be joined by Kelly Bishop, Danny Strong, Todd Lowe, Jackson Douglas, Matt Czuchry and more. Also on hand will hopefully be Jared Padelecki, who played Dean. However, Padelecki has had some health problems as of late, stemming with his depression.
No matter what Patterson was referring to, he has certainly put a bug in the ears of fans and producers alike – and we will probably get a reunion sooner rather than later.
If you are a fan of Gilmore Girls, make sure to listen to the podcast, which is described as:
“Do you awaken in a cold sweat every night, fearing that two men will never start a podcast on Gilmore Girls? Kiss your night terrors GOODBYE. Veteran fan Kevin T. Porter and newcomer Demi Adejuyigbe go deep into Gilmore Girls episode by episode with special guests to analyze, praise, mock, and gab like gals about all things Stars Hollow and beyond. Seriously, these dudes are SUPER into Gilmore Girls.”
