Social Accounts
A Few Facts at a Glance
According to Jay Z, he is the only one with real street cred and gangsta rap roots. He says that those who consider themselves rough and tough rappers don’t know the meaning of the words. His house lacked any drinking water and he had to go days without the amenity.
Jay Z voted for Obama. And even President Obama is pretty impressed by his resume. Obama has gone on record to say that Jay Z is a good guy. And Obama also hoped that he would continue to branch out and influence others to take the initiative in life. Jay Z is the Great Hope for Black Americans. However, Harry Belafonte disagrees with this opinion. He has said that Jay Z only stood up for same-sex marriage in imitation of Obama’s stance.
Jay Z overcame a legacy of crime and violence by using rap music as his stepping stone to success. He started writing lyrics in his mind and then proceeded to put them into practice. His mom bought him a boom box and Jay Z was hopping glad. He has had many influences in his life including Marvin Gaye and soul music. His parents kept many albums in the house so he basically grew up listening to the tunes.
Beyonce and Jay Z make a truly ideal couple. They are mature enough to keep their private lives private and scarcely a peep comes out of their mouths in public about any differences they might have at home. Now, that is a big contrast to the tell-all confessional culture that Hollywood is so famous for.
Life Story…
Jay Z grew up in a very tense atmosphere where only the love he got from his mama served him well. The neighborhood was a mean place to be and he himself said later on that sometimes he didn’t even had any clean drinking water in his home. His father left the family when he was barely 11 leaving Jay Z with some demons that he would later on try and eradicate through drugs and violence. But he gained stability in the nick of time and since then he hasn’t looked back. It has been progressive perfection for his rapper who actually writes lyrics and rap stanzas in his mind all the time and later on transfers them onto paper.
His best friend in school was the Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls. Later on when Biggie was murdered, Jay Z was shocked and disheartened. Jay Z himself shot one of his brothers for stealing his jewelry at one time when he was young. Once when one of his records got bootlegged by another musical artist, Jay Z went up to him at a party and confronted him. But he just got aggressive and was not the least bit contrite. That was when Jay Z pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. He got arrested later on although he had an alibi. Finally he was released on $50,000 bail.
Jay Z started out by selling his albums from his car. Slowly and steadily be built a reputation for street-smart lyrics. One thing about him that is especially significant is that Jay Z has a whole lot of flow and rhythm in his words. The staccato and cadence is so smooth that you wonder whether this man is gifted beyond any other rapper on earth other than possibly Eminem. Eminem too faced a tough and cruel childhood and teenage and that is why he emerged to be such a huge talent later on in life. It seems that the more friction there is with the environment, the more of a success and self-made man or woman one turns out to be in the end.
The artist known as Jay Z started Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records. He also began his clothing and footwear company Rocawear. He is a shrewd entrepreneur and knows how to make an easy buck. Starting from a few bucks in his pocket, Jay Z soon was earning in the thousands and millions. That aphrodisiacal manliness and mucho macho attitude would earn him the respect of Beyonce who was his girlfriend for many years before the two wed each other in a quiet reclusive ceremony. To this day, Jay Z and Beyonce do not shout out the details of their relationship from the rooftops. Like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, they are a very reserved and demure twosome. They prefer it this way since there is less emotional fallout and the paparazzi stay away after a while when they don’t see any hanky-panky going on.
Jay Z had a feud with Nas. But later on they made up. Other than that he has released some of the most inspiring and cool songs and albums. The Black Album was his best. One of his songs titled “99 Problems” has the lyrics in it which go…”I got 99 problems and a bitch ain’t one of them!” Jay Z also used his initial problems with the law as creative fuel for his rap numbers. The man is a legend in himself and he is worth more than you and I or anyone else combined. Beyonce had a miscarriage before the birth of Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter. The two are very happy at having a little wonder in their midst and Jay Z even dedicated a song to daddy’s little girl titled “Glory” which contains the gurgling shrieks of Blue Ivy when she was in her cot in the hospital.
Today, Jay Z has become a name to be reckoned with. He and his wife are on friendly terms with the Obamas and Jay Z canvassed votes for the Democrats during the two elections. He is a philanthropist and in his own words: “I am not a businessman; I am a business, man!”
