Jennette McCurdy Throws a Spanner in the Works

The future of Nickelodeon’s production Sam & Cat is precarious due to Jennette McCurdy’s recent selfies and tweets. Jennette McCurdy, who is half the duo on the show, has thrown a spanner in the works.

The show Sam & Cat /4/be coming to an end after all. The major reason for the closing of the show is a starlet who appears on it. This is none other than Jennette McCurdy. She is currently under a lot of stress.

The causes of her dissatisfaction are her puny paycheck and the risqué selfies she sent a boyfriend. But Jennette claims the semi-nude photos have nothing to do with the haughty attitude she is showing.

Jennette McCurdy refused to show up at the Kids’ Choice Awards recently. The tweet she posted on her Twitter home page says it all. According to McCurdy she has been forced into an uncomfortable and compromising situation that is totally unfair. Jennette McCurdy full statement (via TMZ) is given below:

“A lot of you guys are asking why I didn’t attend the KCAs…. I wish I could explain everything as thoroughly as I would like to, but unfortunately a simpler explanation is all I can write. I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you.”

This of course refers to the smaller paycheck she is receiving as compared to her costar on Sam & Cat who is the famous Ariana Grande. McCurdy has not mentioned the exact reason but she has the sense to let a few hints slip in the subtext of the tweet.

The atmosphere on set was where the unexpressed anger and frustration simply spilled over recently leading to a lot of bad vibes. Both McCurdy and Ariana had started to appear late for the shooting leading to rumors that there was bad blood between them. Then to add insult to injury McCurdy’s racy pictures to a guy became public.

Although the concerned male swears that he didn’t leak the selfies of her in lingerie, the damage has been done willy-nilly. The spokesperson for Nickelodeon has tried to cover up the whole issue.

The reassuring message which is being given to the public is that the show’s producers respect McCurdy and that there is no need for panic regarding the end of the show. But you don’t get rumors out of nowhere.

There is an iota of truth in even the most far-flung wild goose chase after all. Jennette McCurdy is quite angry at Nickelodeon for treating her as a second class starlet. And the choice of treating her on an equal basis and giving her a fatter paycheck lies in their hands.
