Lenovo debuts the World’s Lightest Laptop LaVie Z HZ550 at CES 2015

Lenovo LaVie Z HZ550 is the world’s lightest 13 inch convertible pc and laptop introduced at CES 2015.

Lenovo and NEC Personal Computer (NECP) announced two new mobile PC models today at the International CES 2015. These two models are the lightest that are available in the market with both weighing less than a 32-oz water bottle.

The Lenovo LaVie Z HZ550 has got the title of world’s lightest 13 inch laptop PC at just 1.72 lbs., while the other Lenovo model LaVie Z HZ750 has got the title of the world’s lightest 13 inch convertible PC at just 2.04 lbs. 

The Lenovo LaVie Z HZ750 will not only give the consumers incredible portability but will also provide a new level of flexibility with its 360 degree hinge pioneered by Lenovo in its original YOGA family of convertibles.

Moreover this model will also offer the customers an impressive two in one experience. One will be work in Laptop mode with its comfortable keyboard and the other will be the Tablet mode for closer more interactive computing. 

Both these new innovative devices are Lenovo’s first NECP products that will be available outside Japan. This new LaVie PCs basically utilize the strength of Lenovo’s research and development teams in China, Japan and U.S.    

Not only are these new models by Lenovo lightweight but are also these models are very thin just measuring 16.9 mm. Moreover do not think that as these new models are lightweight and thin they will not be durable.

Both these models are very strong. Both these models use a specialized magnesium-lithium (Mg-Li) body construction along with the specialized technologies which includes a Magnesium Lithium forged back cover.

Consumer will also be happy to hear that these materials are 50 percent lighter than aluminum and as strong as any heavier typical Magnesium alloy laptop. Even more to it is that the HZ750 has a direct bonded touchscreen that uses a film instead of a cover glass. 

Talking about the performance of these models than be assured that both these models start with an outstanding 13.3 inches optional WQHD touchscreen for real and lifelike images. Plus these models have a powerful 5th Generation Intel Core i7 processor that is just great for running multiple programs and applications at the same time.

Then these new Lenovo PCs have Microsoft Windows 8.1 Update for the maximum productivity and fast user experience with a 128 GB SSD storage. These new Lenovo PCs with all their features and designs are no doubt on the top of the tablet list at the CES 2015. 

In the U.S., the new Lenovo LaVie Z HZ550 and HZ750 will be available beginning in /4/2015 with models starting at approximately $1,299 and $1,499, respectively via Lenovo’s official website.
