LG’s New Android Wearable os the First to Feature Full Circle P-OLED Display

LG is not leaving out any opportunity to capitalize on the growing wearable market and after the June release of one of the first-to-market wearable device powered by Android Wear, the Korean manufacturer is now set to fully develop its place in the wearable market. It is currently working on unveiling their new Android Wear device which is the LG G Watch R. The device is apparently going to be showcased at the IFA 2014 in Berlin next week. Now coming back to the product itself, the device is world’s first watch-style wearable device to feature a circular Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display and utilizes 100 percent of its watch face.

The LG G Watch R’s 1.3-inch full circle P-OLED display is one of the most attractive features of the device and according to the details we have received since the past few days, it has the ability to generate stunning image clarity even under bright sunlight and superb clarity when viewed from any angle. The G Watch R is going to be powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and will offer 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and a durable 410mAh battery. This new wearable by LG is capable of running all compatible apps which are available in the Google Play Store. Moreover, with the help of an Ingress Protection Rating of IP67, the LG G Watch R is designed to run for up to 30 minutes in one meter of water. You can be sure to have essential and relevant information exactly at the right time and place because of the Android Wear which is at the heart of the device.

The wearable is going to provide a suite of LG health and fitness apps which allows users to monitor their heart rate with the support of the embedded photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor. And as with all smartwatches, you no longer have to worry about missing out on your important notifications as the smart notifications provide users with important reminders of missed calls and messages, upcoming meetings, events, and local weather forecasts. The LG G Watch R is not just powerful on the inside but is quite impressive from the outside as well. It features an elegant look and boasts a refined aesthetic that is reminiscent of traditional timepieces. The circular watch face further adds to the elegance and the classic curves have been neatly encased in a strong, durable stainless steel frame.
