Mariah Carey explains Infinity is Not about Nick Cannon

Mariah Carey kicks off her ‘Mariah #1 to Infinity’ show in style at Viva Las Vegas!

On Monday Mariah Carey arrived in Las Vegas at the Caesars Palace in a pink convertible. The songstress was carried through the hotel in full Diva style by a group of men. Carey then sat down with Tracey Edmonds from ‘Extra’ to talk about her Infinity show. 

Mariah explained to Extra in an interview that her show which launches next month in Sin City features performances of her 18 number 1 hits including her latest single ‘Infinity’. Mariah also gave insight into the meaning of her new song ‘Infinity’ and called it her showpiece. 

According to Mariah Infinity for her means love equals you first as there is a section in the song which is kind of like a chant. The chant with the wording ‘you’re leaving, you’re leaving’ means loving yourself first is more important and it cannot always be about someone else, so when you love yourself you can deal with all the issues in your life. Mariah then explained she had a little fun with the lyrics of ‘Infinity’ and she always does that in the songs, as can be heard in the song ‘Touch My Body’.

Brett Ratner who directed the video for the song ‘Infinity’ has been linked to Mariah and dating rumors have been surfacing for some time. However when asked about the rumors Mariah simply laughed and sarcastically declared she is having a fabulous love affair and she’s getting married next week with her love forever. Finally on a serious note Mariah cleared the air by claiming Brett is her really good friend and he’s super talented which makes her proud of him.  

Mariah also shared how her kids ‘Dem babies’ are really enjoying their time in Las Vegas and have their own activities going on.
