Michelle Tanner Will have a Presence in Fuller House

“It’s not like were not talking about her,” Jodie Sweetin told US Weekly

Although Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen have decided not to become a part of “Fuller House” but their character Michelle Tanner will have a presence in the sequel. Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, the elder sister of Michelle told US Weekly in an interview.

“The Michelle character is going to have a presence. It’s not like were not talking about her. I love and support (Mary-Kate and Ashley), I think we are just going to be fine.” Sweetin said.

Netflix officially announced almost two months ago that are making a reboot to ABC’s hit series “Full House” and the new series will focus on the life of D.J. Tanner, the eldest daughter of Danny Tanner, who is now a widow and a mother of two and seeks help to raise her children from her sister Stephanie and her best friend Kimmy Gibbler.

Almost the entire original cast of series returned for the sequel except Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, who eventually decided not to join “Fuller House” in the end of the /4/after having lengthy negotiations with Netflix. Executive produced Robert L. Boyett  made a bit emotional announcement after their refusal. “Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family.”

The shooting of the sequel will take place in July with John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Candace Cameron Bure (D. J. Tanner), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibler), Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Katsopolis) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) all reuniting on the set of Fuller House.

“We first started talking about this in like 2007, 2008 about trying to do some sort of spinoff and kind of bringing the characters back. This has been a long time in the making. Sweetin revealed. “I had kind of given up for periods of time where I’m like, ‘it’s not going happen!’ but we pitched it to Netflix and they were so excited about it.”

“I think that Stephanie is going to be a really interesting, complex, deep character.” Jodie Sweetin hinted about her own character Stephanie, who is now an adult and one of the key roles in the Fuller House.
