The Henn Na Hotel is going to use ‘actroids’ who will be able to engage in intelligent conversations with the guests
Have you ever wanted to run away from this life and wished to go somewhere far away from people but the only possible options that sprang to your mind were isolated woods or the interiors of deserts. And this certainly doesn’t like a vacation. Well, thanks to a Japanese hotel, you will be able to run away from humans but also enjoy the luxuries of modern age. Japan’s Huis Ten Bosch theme park has planned a hotel named “Henn Na” which is going to be run by robots. We don’t think they will be your personal butlers, but surely they will be programmed to perform all hospitality related things you expect from them.
The theme park we mentioned earlier is modeled after the Netherlands in Japan’s Nagasaki Prefecture and they have named their future hotel quite aptly – apparently the name Henn Na translates into Strange Hotel. The development on the hotel has been going well and the park says the first phase of the two storey hotel is going to open from July 17 and will have 72 rooms. The second phase, expected to be completed next year is also going to have 72 rooms.
The hotel’s moto of “A commitment for evolution” also sounds quite apt with the inclusion of three robots as receptionists. Things have been taken a step further as these aren’t any ordinary robots with looks of a sci-fi movie but these are ‘actroids’ which are robots with a lot of human likeness. These robots serving as the receptionists will have the capacity to carry out intelligent conversations with the guests.
