Brian White has been meeting with supply vendors and getting the inside scoop
There are a lot of things in the pipeline for Apple, but very few are as highly anticipated as the iWatch. An analyst named Brian White has now met with supply chain vendors who tell him that it will be released along with the iPhon6, with a 4.7 inch screen, in September of this year.
He says that his meetings revealed that Apple’s suppliers are going to be starting production on retail iWatch components later on in the month, with a release coming in September. This timeline stands in line with other products that have been released in the past, with production typically starting around this time for Fall releases.
His research also confirms that iOS 8 will be launching alongside the iWatch. With so many health focused apps being included natively with the new version of iOS, it will make sense to have it coming out at the same time with a device that will be able to use the features fully.
What is most interesting about the information that he has obtained is that it will be priced from $200 to $230, making it much cheaper than other company’s first generation smart watches, such as the Galaxy Gear from Samsung.
